Understanding Our Approach
The Pacific THERx strategy for your complete well-being includes the following:Tissue Regeneration aka Manual Therapy - A technique designed to improve mobility and optimal healing to muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia as it relates to pain, posture and joint dysfunction.
Joint Mobilization - These are passive procedures where the therapist assesses the biomechanics of your joint systems to identify any alterations, restore normal joint motion, and decrease pain.
Therapeutic Exercise - Exercise for pain and injury recovery is different than a general exercise program. Each program is designed with controlled dosage and progression tailored specifically to your condition. As you improve, the program will assist you in optimizing tissue healing and redeveloping proper movement patterns as well as improving coordination, balance, endurance, speed and strength.
Sport Specific Biomechanical Analysis - Our mastery in biomechanics, Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, and our ground breaking team-approach of transition to a lifetime of health and fitness allows for safe and optimal return to the physical demands of daily living, serious sport and recreational activity.
Patient Education - The physical therapist will help you understand your diagnosis and educate you on preventative care and the safe progression of your activities. Pain = no brain! While a certain amount of discomfort is a part of any injury and recovery program, pain that is a signal of tissue damage will inhibit your recovery. Our experienced staff will teach you the differences of normal discomfort and deleterious pain.
Thinking Outside the Box – Pacific THERx Physical Therapists are great problem solvers and have a wide network of various practitioners and colleagues that can help solve complex problems for our patients. Each Pacific THERx PT is available to act as a concierge primary clinician to enthusiastically guide patients through the complex medical system.
